Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, username, profile picture, bio, and other details you provide when creating or updating your account.
  • User Content: Restaurant visits, ratings, reviews, photos, dishes, lists, follow/unfollow actions, and other content you create or share.
  • Communications: Messages you send us, including bug reports, feature requests, and customer support inquiries.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, push notification tokens (if you enable notifications), and mobile network information.
  • Usage Analytics: App features accessed, content viewed, search queries, and interaction patterns. This helps us improve the Service and understand user behavior.
  • Location Information: If you grant permission, we may collect approximate location data to enhance features like restaurant discovery. You can control location permissions through your device settings.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, browser type, and pages visited.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service

  • Send you service updates, notifications, and support messages

4. Third-Party Service Providers

  • Clerk: Authentication and account management
  • Neon: Database hosting and data storage
  • Cloudflare R2: Secure image and photo storage
  • Resend: Email delivery for notifications and password resets
  • Expo: Push notification delivery to your device
  • Google Places API: Restaurant information, ratings, and location data
  • Sightengine: Image moderation to ensure content safety

Each service provider has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your profile, content, and associated personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Some information may be retained in backups for up to 90 days for recovery purposes, or longer if required by law.

6. Account Deletion

You can request to delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Account deletion will remove:

  • Your profile and personal information
  • All your visits, reviews, photos, and lists
  • Your follow/follower relationships
  • Any personal data associated with your account

Note: Content you created (e.g., reviews) may remain visible to other users if it has been engaged with (liked, commented on) before deletion, but will be anonymized and no longer attributed to you.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption (SSL/TLS), secure databases, and access controls to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Tabled is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information and terminate the child's account within 30 days. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
  • Opt-out of certain data processing activities
